Employment confirmation
An employment certificate confirms factual employment details: employer, employee, role, start date, current or former status, and an authorized contact. Salary is optional and should be included only when requested and authorized.
Salary confirmation
A salary certificate focuses on employer-confirmed compensation. State whether the figure is monthly or annual, gross or net, and fixed or variable. A salary certificate does not establish that a payment was actually transferred.
Experience confirmation
An experience letter describes a completed period of work and may include approved duties. Enter factual responsibilities yourself. Do not invent accomplishments or praise. Former employment requires a real end date.
Choose a clear scope
For a fictional example, a landlord requesting confirmation of current employment may need a simple employment certificate. If compensation is also requested, choose employment with salary or a dedicated salary certificate. The recipient determines its own acceptance criteria.
Put it into practice.
